One person has asked as to why saints construct a hermitage?
Saints have renounced Maya (illusion) to attain the status of a saint, be it a householder, or an ascetic, it is not enjoyable them to get enmeshed again in the web of illusion. To come down from the Shivdasha to guide the society and to help the seekers progress spiritually, they have to construct a hermitage. They perform this work after attaining sainthood as gratitude to their revered one, Guru (Master) or the the benevolent deity or the Almighty. – Tanuja Thakur
