In ancient times as per Vedic culture, before eating a meal, a householder used to stand outside the house, eagerly looking for a guest, if a guest came, he or she was satiated by serving food and only then the householder would have food; but today, if a guest were to arrive at lunch time, they wait with a false smile and pray to God for the guest to leave on empty stomach. Good heavens! Look now modern we have become today! (I have directly experienced this in many a home, no one has done this to me; but I have seen many such instances in many house, therefore I thought of presenting this bitter fact before the society).-Tanuja Thakur
