Q: “Earlier, I did not fear my Gurudev. After continuity in Sadhana, why have I developed a fear for him?”
A: Saints are just like mothers. Hence, there is no need to be afraid of them. As we begin to learn more and more about their powers and abilities, we develop a respect-based fear for them. Merely one glance from them can result in achieving liberation from this illusory world, while one angry glance can also result in our spiritual degeneration. Once seekers become aware of this, they simply develop a fear. Till we are not aware that the person in front of us is not a saint, we can afford to be ourselves with them. But when we become aware that we are with the Final Accountant of this universe, our hands and feet naturally start trembling. However, such saints are a rarity in Kaliyug.-Tanuja Thakur
