Destroying an enemy is not a sin


नाधर्मो विद्यते कश्चित् शत्रुन्हत्वातत्तायिन:
अधर्म्यंयशस्यं च शात्रवाणाम प्रयाचानम ।। – Mahabharat 5.3.21
Na dharmo vidyate kashchit Shatrunhatvatattayinah
Adharmyamyashasyam cha shaatravaanaam prayaachaanam
Meaning : Destroying an enemy does not entail any sin. On the contrary, pleading before an enemy amounts to Adharma (unrighteousness) and it is akin to the disgrace for a person.
