Hindu Mahasabha’s Website Hacked by Group, Beef Displayed

Aug 24, 2018

The official website of Akhil Bharatiya Hindu Mahasabha was hacked, purportedly by ‘Team Kerala Cyber Warriors’ on Friday, 24 August.
The homepage of the website (http://www.abhm.org.in/) showed a recipe to make “Kerala Spicy Nadan Beef Curry”.

The website was allegedly hacked in response to to ABHM chief Swami Chakrapani’s remarks that only those Kerala flood victims who did not consume beef should be helped, reported The Indian Express.

The self-acclaimed godman had said that innocent people had died during the floods, because people in the state killed cows and “exhibited it in shops.”.

Kerala is slowly limping back to normalcy, after witnessing its worst floods in a century. Over 230 people lost their lives, and lakhs of people had to be moved to shelters across the state.

Kerala Cyber Warriors’ Previous Hacking
In August 2016, the group claimed to have hacked 50 Pakistani websites.

In September 2017, the group hacked the website of a private school in Gurugram, after a 7-year-old child was murdered inside the school premises.

They also hacked the official website of of Bhartiya Janata Party’s Jammu & Kashmir unit, in April 2018, demanding justice for the 8-year-old girl who was gang-raped and murdered in Kathua.
