Meaning: Bearing the fruits of any action takes time, just like a gardener might water the trees with a hundred pitchers of water, but the tree bears fruits only with the onset of the right season.
Implied Meaning: This couplet is for all those people who after performing an action, turn impatient and seek the fruits of the action immediately. For such people, it imparts the message that the time for everything is decided, hence without losing patience, one must keep performing one’s action, the appropriate fruit of the action will be propitious at the right time. Even a child in womb takes birth only after nine months, implying that the time for fruit of every action has a pre-destined time. Hence one should be patient
