Ganesh stuti


1. ॐ गजाननं भूतगणाधि सेवितम्,
कपित्थजम्बू फलचारु भक्षणम् ।
उमासुतम् शोक विनाश कारकम्,
नमामि विघ्नेश्वर पादपंकजम् ॥
Om Gajananam Bhootganadhi sevitam
Kapitthjambu Phalcharu bhakshanam,
Umasutam shok vinaash kaarakam
Namami Vidnyeshwar Paadpankajam.Meaning : The God with the elephant face, served by all the Ganas, One who takes as His food, the essence of Kapitta and Jamboophala (these are two favorite fruits of Ganesh), son of Uma (Mother Parvati), destroyer of misery of the devotees, controller of obstacles, we worship Your Lotus Feet.

2. वक्रतुण्ड महाकाय कोटि सूर्यसम प्रभ ।
निर्विघ्नं कुरू मे देव सर्वकार्येषु सर्वदा॥
Vakratund mahakaay koti suryasama prabha
Nirvighnam kuru me dev sarvkaaryeshu sarvada.
Meaning : O, God Ganesha having curved trunk and massive body, the one whose splendor is equal to millions of Suns, please bless me so that I do not face any obstacles in my endeavors.
3. गजवक्त्रं सुरश्रेष्ठं कर्णचामरभूषितम् |
पाशांकुशधरं देवं वन्देऽहं गणनायकम् ||
Gajavakram surshreshtham karnachaamarbhooshitam,
Pashaankunshdharam devam vandeham Gananaayakam.Meaning : I bow before that God who is the leader of Shiva’s ghosts, whose face resembles that of an elephant, who is supreme among the deities, who sports ears that look like fans and who is armed with noose and goad.

4. सुमुखश्चैकदंतश्च कपिलो गजकर्णकः |
लम्बोदरश्च विकटो विघ्ननाशो गणाधिपः |
धूम्रकेतुर्गणाध्यक्षो भालचन्द्रो गजाननः |
द्वादशैतानि नामानि यः पठेच्छृणुयादपि |
विद्यारंभे विवाहे च प्रवेशे निर्गमे तथा |
संग्रामे संकटे चैव विघ्नस्तस्य न जायते ||
Sumukhshchayeekdantashvach Kapilo Gajakarnakah,
Lambodarashch vikato Vighnnasho Ganaadhipah,
Dhumraketurganadhyaksho Bhalchandro
Dwadshaitaani naamani yah pathechrunuyaadapi
Vidyaaarmbhe vivahe ch praveshe nirgame tatha
Sangrame sankate chaiv vighnastasya n jaayate
Meaning :  Sumukha, Ekadanta, Kapila, Gajakarnaka, Lambodara, Vikata,
Vighnanaasha, Ganaadhipa, Dhuumraketu, Ganaadhyaksha,
Bhaalachandra, Gajaanana , no obstacles will come in the way of one who reads or
listens to these 12 names of God Ganesha at the beginning
of education, at the time of marriage, while entering or exiting
anything, during a battle or calamity.

5. प्रणम्य शिरसा देवं गौरीपुत्रं विनायकम् |
भक्तावासं स्मरेन्नित्यं आयुःकामार्थसिद्धये ||
Pranamy Shirsa devam Gauriputram Vinaayakam
Bhaktvaasam Smarennityam aayuhkamaarthsiddhaye.
Meaning : After bowing to the God Vinayaka, the son of Goddess Garui, the God who dwells in the hearts of his devotees, one should constantly remember Him in order to achieve long life, wealth and fulfillment of wishes.
