I have met several seekers, who have learnt the entire Bhagvad Gita by heart; but neither could I find an iota of seeker-ship in them, nor were there any traits of Aatmsakshaatkar (realization of the self)!! We do not become self-realised by reading Gita, we become so by assimilating it and for that, guidance in a gross form by a self-realised saint is required on every step of the way! For a Kaliyugi being, where most of them are of Tamoguni (spiritually impure) nature, it is impossible to become self-realised merely by reading and memorising Gita !-Tanuja Thakur
