Tension in Baghpat village over calf’s death, ‘rape’

October 20, 2018

Meerut: In a bizarre incident, a youth from the minority community has been booked for allegedly raping a four-month-old calf, which died later. The incident took place on Wednesday in Tilwada village of Baghpat.

After the calf died on Saturday, an FIR was filed against the youth under IPC’s sections 377 (unnatural offences) and 429 (mischief by killing or maiming cattle). Following the incident, members of Hindu groups gathered in large numbers and started protesting in the area demanding the arrest of the youth.
Vijay Kumar, station officer at Chaprauli police station, said, “On the complaint of the calf’s owner, an FIR has been filed against the youth whose family says he is a minor. His real age will be ascertained only after medical examination. A government veterinarian examined the calf’s body. The calf definitely died of internal injury, but a slide has been sent to an Agra-based lab to confirm rape. We will soon arrest him.”
Ankit Badoli, youth wing district president of Hindu Jagran Manch, said, “I don’t have words to describe the category of crime it was and the police were trying to hush up the case. We were forced to stage dharna and compelled police to file an FIR.”

“This man should be punished as much as possible and why media is silent over community of the person terming this as ‘minority community'”.- Editor, Vedic Upasna Peeth
