National Conference leader Javed Rana has said he would like to put PM Narendra Modi in jail for the killings of Kashmiris.

National Conference (NC) leader Javed Ahmed Rana has said if he had the power, he would like to put Prime Minister Narendra Modi behind the bars on charges of murdering all those who have been killed in Jammu and Kashmir in these past five years.

Speaking at a meeting in Kashmir’s Poonch, Javed Rana said, “Khuda ki kasam, agar mera bas chale, to mai is desh ke pradhanmantri ke khilaf, jitne bhi qatl hue hain Jammu-Kashmir mein aur desh mein, mai isko qatl ke case mein andar thok dunga.”

(“If I had the power, I would have put the Prime Minister in jail for the murders in Jammu and Kashmir and rest of India.”)

The NC leader then went on to add that the Prime Minister is a murderer. “He has ended the relationship that Hindus and Muslims had in this country. The media is the other culprit behind this,” said Rana.

“I would put Modi in jail for spreading hatred across the country. He is spreading hatred against a particular community in the entire country,” he added.

Javed Rana had made similar remarks against PM Modi earlier as well and called him a “murderer of humanity”.

The National Conference MLA had earlier courted controversy for abusing the Indian Army as well.

In another instance, Javed Rana stoked a fresh row by blaming “government agencies” for stone pelting incidents. Rana had claimed that the stone pelters are being paid by the Modi government.

“Stone pelters are the creation of government agencies and RSS,” said Javed Rana while addressing the media in Poonch last year in May.
