Congress president Rahul Gandhi seems to be a donning a new look almost every day, though not literally. A day after social media went gaga over his blue T-shirt non-neta-like holiday look in Goa, the Congress president was seen in a new avatar — that of lord Ram — on a poster in Patna.

The poster, informing about Rahul Gandhi’s Jan Akanksha rally scheduled for February 3 at Gandhi Maidan in Patna, is the latest arrow to leave the Congress’s bow in the season of poster wars.

Taking an apparent dig at the opposition BJP, a slogan etched in the middle of the poster reads: “Woh Ram naam japte rahe, tum bannkar Ram jiyo re (Let them keep chanting the name of lord Ram, you [Rahul Gandhi] be the lord himself).”

On Monday, a photograph of him in Goa went viral on social media after Goa-based dentist Rachna Fernandes, who was dining at the restaurant, posted the photograph on Instagram. Holidaying in Goa Rahul Gandhi was spotted having a Sunday lunch with his mother and former party president Sonia Gandhi at the popular Fisherman’s Wharf restaurant in South Goa. According to new agency IANS, Rahul also posed for photographs and selfies with patrons of the restaurant.

Earlier, a similar poster portraying Rahul Gandhi as lord Ram and Prime Minister Narendra Modi as the 10-headed ‘demon’ king Ravana had created an uproar in Uttar Pradesh.

The poster exuded the hope that Rahul Gandhi will usher in Ram Rajya in the country and will end the “BJP’s misrule”.
