J-K: BSF jawan killed, four others injured in blast in Samba district

A BSF official was killed and four others injured in an explosion at a forward position along the international border in Jammu and Kashmir’s Samba district on Monday evening.

Identifying the deceased official in the rank of Assistant Commandant, sources said the blast took place at Border outpost (BOP) in Manguchak at 5.45 pm. The injured included two BSF inspectors and two sub-inspectors, who were rushed to hospital.

More details were awaited, a senior BSF official said. It may be caused by some kind of projectile that had come across the border, he added.
