In another such incident, three pastors have raped a minor girl in Mangalore. They have been booked under Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act along with kidnap and abuse in the name of caste under the SC/ST Prevention of Atrocities Act, added the report.

This incident came to light after the victim’s mother took the matter to the Karnataka High Court and complained that her daughter has been raped. Then it was revealed that the three pastors took the girl from Mysuru saying that they will provide a good job in Mangalore’s nursing home, in the month of November last year.

The victim’s mother stated in her complaint that the pastors had promised to give them Rs 1 lakh to build a house. After that the girl was taken to Mangalore and was forced to do household works and was sexually assaulted. The girl was even house arrested by the pastors and they threatened not to reveal the torture she was undergoing.

KT Balakrishna, the Mysuru police commissioner said “Subsequently, when the mother visited the girl she saw that her daughter was used as domestic help and she found out that she was also sexually assaulted”. Based on the complaint filed by the minor victim’s mother, the police arrested pastors Bennet Amman, Joshua Amman, and Sebastian.
