Devout Muslims killing more secular Muslims on Eid, with a quran, no less. And yet Muslims scream bloody murder if it is defaced in anyway.

Afghan intelligence – National Directorate of Security (NDS) on Wednesday announced that militants had placed explosives inside the Holy Quran, which left Logar provincial governor Arsala Jamal dead.

The National Directorate of Security (NDS) following a statement said that preliminary investigations reveal that the terrorists had placed explosives inside the Holy Quran.

Natioanl Directorate of Security condemned the use of Holy Quran and explosion inside the mosque which killed Logar provincial governor Arsala Jamal and left several others injured, and called it an act against the humanity and principles of Islam.

Arsala Jamal was killed on the first day of Eid following an explosion in Pul-e-Alam district while as he was delivering a speech to mark the Muslim holiday of Eid al-Adha.

Governor Arsallah Jamal of eastern Logar province died instantly in the blast at the main mosque in the provincial capital of Pul-i-Alam.

Mr. Jamal was Karzai’s campaign manager during the 2009 presidential elections. He was also governor of Khost until he was appointed to Logar in April.

He had survived multiple attacks from militants including suicide bombings while he was serving as provincial governor for eastern Khost province.
